Trinchero Family

Trinchero Family Wines
The Trinchero Family wines are rich, fruit forward, well-structured and delicious. They also represent remarkable value. The foundation for these wines comes from our estate vineyards located in prime maritime appellations. We own 200 acres in Lake County, 525 acres in Santa Barbara County and 200 acres in Napa Valley, giving us a wide array of styles and flavor profiles to choose from. All of our estate fruit is grown using sustainable farming methods. Outside growers are selected strictly on quality and consistency. If a vineyard does not meet our exacting standards it will be dropped. Conversely, if it consistently meets our exacting standards we will secure the vineyard with long term contracts.

As is the case for our Napa Reserve bottlings, we tailor our winemaking to each individual lot of vineyard block. Pre-soaks, length of maceration, temperatures, time in oak are all determined based upon the nature of the wine. For reds we have developed a special seed removal regime allowing us to work the skins more aggressively. We also utilize delestage or pumping from tank to tank to increase extraction. These two techniques lead to greater color, more intense flavors and softer, rounder tannins. For white wines we look for ripeness, varietal accuracy and underlying rather than overt power. Our goal with both Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc is to preserve and accentuate freshness and balance.

All Trinchero Family wines are clean, vibrant, generous and richly textured and flavored.
